Scope
This part of JB/T 10181 specifies the method for selecting the economic cross-section of the conductor, which should take into account the initial investment and the expected cost of Joule loss within the economic life of the cable. This section does not include maintenance costs, energy losses in forced cooling systems, hourly electricity pricing, etc. A calculation example of this method applied to a hypothetical power supply system can be found in Appendix A. This section applies to the economic optimization of power cable cross-sections in relation to operating conditions.
