Scope

This standard specifies the terminology, definitions and codes, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of finger-jointed dimensional lumber for lightweight timber structures used in structures. This standard applies to finger-jointed dimensional lumber for structural use in lightweight timber structures.
