This standard stipulates the scope of electronic books, description objects, and relationships between description objects. On this basis, it establishes the element set and expansion rules of electronic book metadata specifications, and defines elements and their modifiers in detail. This standard is designed for the universal elements of electronic books. If it is necessary to describe specific types of elements, it can be extended based on the metadata framework of this standard. This standard is applicable to the library and information industry. Other professional resource fields can adopt it directly or after revision, but the revision must follow the basic principles and expansion principles of this standard.
