Scope

This standard specifies the classification, raw materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of well pipes. This standard applies to concrete well pipes, steel well pipes, ductile iron well pipes and rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) well pipes used in agricultural (animal husbandry), industrial and domestic water supply wells. The production of well pipes for other purposes (such as requiring special anti-corrosion or special dimensions) shall be negotiated between the supply and demand parties and may be implemented with reference to this standard.
