Scope

This Technical Specification is a guide for the voluntary labeling of consumer products containing manufactured nano-objects (PCMNO). This Technical Specification does not apply to consumer goods that contain naturally occurring nano-objects that were created without manufacturing processes. Consumer goods that accidentally contain nano-objects (ie unintended by-products of a process) are also outside the scope of this Technical Specification.
