Scope

This standard specifies general technical requirements for the installation of electrical equipment on civil aircraft. This standard applies to equipment or devices that generate, transform, store, distribute, control and protect aircraft electrical energy, as well as electric motors with power greater than 368 W (0.5 horsepower). This standard does not include relevant provisions regarding wiring.
