This standard specifies the sampling, storage and rapid detection methods of reverse-phase indirect hemagglutination test and polymerase chain reaction test for samples of Yersinia pestis carried in the skins of animals exported by humans. This standard is applicable to the detection of pathogens in the skins and parasites of animals that may be infected with Yersinia pestis, such as marmots, foxes, wolves, lynxes, muskrats, and gray rats entering and exiting the country.
