- This standard specifies the procedures for determining hazards related to the inspection of imported mechanical and electrical products for remanufacturing purposes, estimating and evaluating related risks, controlling these risks, and monitoring the effectiveness of controls (measures). This standard does not specify acceptable risk levels. This standard applies to the inspection risk assessment of imported mechanical and electrical products for remanufacturing purposes. The requirements of this standard apply to all stages of inspection of imported electromechanical products for remanufacturing purposes.
