This International Standard specifies performance requirements for battery-operated pumps used for personal sampling of chemical and biological agents in workplace air. It also specifies test procedures for determining the performance parameters of such pumps under specified laboratory conditions. This International Standard applies to battery-operated pumps with a nominal flow rate of more than 10 ml min-1, used in combination with collectors and collection substrates for sampling gases, vapors, dusts, smoke, mists and fibers. This International Standard applies primarily to controlled flow pumps.
