Scope
The aim of the design process is to provide information that enables a project to be completed in a manner that satisfies client requirements. These requirements might include the provision of information useful to the period of operation of the building/facility. The manner of that provision might be in the form of a Building Information Model (BIM) . The client could be a user, owner occupier, investor or construction contractor. The role is sometimes described as employer, emphasizing the financial relationship and the authority and control that this position carries.
