This European Standard specifies the test method for determining the resis ance of protective glove materials to degradation by continuous contact with hazardous chemicals. Other tests used to assess chemical resis ance such as permeation resis ance and penetration resis ance may not provide sufficient information about changes in physical properties affecting a glove upon exposure to a chemical. It is necessary that the outer surface of the glove is exposed to the chemical.
