Scope

This European Standard specifies the design loads for public lighting poles. It applies to public lighting poles with a nominal height (with the bracket) not exceeding 20 m. Special structural designs for attaching traffic signs, overhead wires, etc. are not covered in this European Standard. Requirements for street lighting poles made of materials other than concrete, Steel, aluminum or fiber-reinforced polymer composite (e.g. wood, plastic and cast iron) are not specifically addressed in this standard.
