- Scope
- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of diesel locomotive fuel filters (hereinafter referred to as "filters") and filter elements. This standard applies to fuel filters and filter elements for diesel engines of diesel locomotives. Fuel filters and filter elements for diesel trains, diesel generator sets and other rail diesel locomotives may be implemented with reference to this standard.
