Scope: This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation, storage and shelf life of fatty alkyl dimethyl tertiary amines. This standard applies to fatty alkyl dimethyl tertiary amines (N,N-dimethyl alkyl tertiary amines) prepared from fatty alcohols or fatty acids, mainly used in the preparation of cationic surfactants, zwitterionic surfactants, non- Ionic surfactants and antistatic agents, etc. This standard does not apply to fatty alkyl dimethyl tertiary amines prepared from oxo alcohols.
