- This standard specifies the ratings, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for capacitor-operated motors used in room air conditioner fans. This standard applies to capacitor-operated asynchronous motors for fans of condensers and evaporators in room air conditioners. This standard also applies to capacitor-operated asynchronous motors for fans of heat pumps, dehumidifiers, and fan coil air conditioners.
