Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for calcined kaolin sand powder for investment casting, as well as packaging, marking, transportation and storage. This standard applies to shell materials for investment casting that are calcined and reprocessed at high temperatures above 1250°C.
