- This standard specifies the technical requirements, acceptance regulations, test methods, assessment methods and rating standards for tool heat treatment metallographic examination. This standard is applicable to the metallographic structure inspection of cutting tools and measuring tools made of high-speed tool steel, low-alloy high-speed steel, alloy tool steel, carbon tool steel, stainless steel and high-carbon chromium bearing steel after normal heat treatment.
