- This part of JB/T 9179 specifies the allowances and tolerances for free forging discs and punched steel free forgings on hydraulic presses. This section applies to non-perforated disc steel free forgings where the height (or thickness) of the part is less than the diameter of the part, as well as punched steel free forgings where the inner hole of the part is less than half the diameter of the part or the short side of the rectangle. For disc type (or rectangular type) steel free forgings with blind holes, the provisions of this section may be followed.
