- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, size series, color code, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of flat steel wire cylindrical spiral compression springs. This standard applies to equal-pitch cylindrical helical compression springs (hereinafter referred to as springs) made of cold-rolled flat steel wire with both ends tightly ground and flattened.
