Scope: This standard specifies the product classification, basic parameters, and technology of dust explosion-proof lighting (power) distribution boxes (hereinafter referred to as distribution boxes) for use in combustible dust environments with a rated operating voltage of 460V and below and protected by enclosures and limited surface temperatures. Requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage. This standard applies to enclosures for electrical equipment used in combustible dust environments and dust explosion-proof lighting (power) distribution boxes with limited surface temperature protection. This standard does not apply to: a) Electrical equipment used in environments where flammable gases and combustible dust may appear simultaneously or separately; b) Explosive dust or self-igniting ignition substances that can burn without oxygen in the atmosphere; c) Distribution boxes for underground coal mines where biogas and/or combustible dust pose hazards. This standard does not consider the hazards caused by flammable or toxic gases emitted by dust.
