Scope: This standard specifies the dimensional requirements for panels, adjustment plates and installation boxes for electrical accessories. This standard applies to panels, adjustment plates and installation boxes with a rated voltage not exceeding AC 440 V and DC 630 V, a rated current not exceeding 63 A, and for household and similar installations. This standard also applies to installation boxes for installing or suspending lighting equipment and installation boxes for floor sockets. This standard does not apply to panels, adjustment plates and installation boxes in combined electrical accessories equipped with overcurrent protection devices, nor does it apply to panels, adjustment plates and installation boxes in busbar duct-type electrical accessories. This standard does not apply to panels, adjustment plates and mounting boxes that are assembled with the equipment and specially designed for the equipment.
