- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test principles, test devices, test procedures, test records and test reports for the detection of glass defects by photoelastic scanning method. This standard is applicable to transparent flat glass and silverized glass. This standard can be used not only for the detection of glass defects in service, but also for the detection of glass defects before leaving the factory. This standard does not apply to embossed, laminated and coated glass.
