Scope
This part specifies the requirements for radio-frequency coaxial cable assemblies (consisting of cables and connectors) that transmit the transverse electromagnetic wave mode (TEM). It also specifies general requirements for testing the electrical, mechanical and environmental characteristics of coaxial cable assemblies. Additional requirements concerning specific types of cable assemblies are given in the corresponding sectional specifications.
