Scope
This part of GB/T 5169 specifies the quantitative test method for measuring the heat release from the combustion of an insulating liquid when the insulating liquid used in electrical and electronic products is exposed to a specified heat flux with spark ignition. It can also measure smoke production, light-off time and mass loss. This section also applies to other liquid samples. Hazard warning: Explosion may occur when testing volatile liquids with this device, so all liquids should be checked according to the initial test procedure specified in 8.1.
