Scope

This standard specifies the terms, definitions, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of industrial Ethernet switches. This standard is applicable to work on the first to second layers or first to third layers of the basic reference model of open system interconnection specified in GB/T 9387.1-1998, and the physical layer conforms to IEEE 802.3:2008 specification, and the data link layer conforms to IEEE 802.1 D: 2004 and GB/T 15629.2-2008 specifications, the network layer conforms to the industrial Ethernet switch of the IETF IP protocol cluster specification.
