Scope
This part of GB/T 30069 specifies the test method for the determination of the stress-strain characteristics of sheet metal using elastic rod-type systems under high strain rate conditions. Based on experiments and numerical calculations, such as collision finite element simulation (FEA) shows that the strain rate in the range of 10-3 s-1~103 s-1 It is closely related to vehicle collision accidents. In order to accurately evaluate the crashworthiness of vehicles, it is very important to obtain reliable stress-strain characteristics of metal materials under the condition of strain rate higher than 10-3 s-1. This section applies to tensile test methods higher than 102 s-1 strain rate range.
