Scope
This standard defines a resonance method for determining the dynamic mechanical properties of elastomeric materials used in vibration isolators from laboratory measurements. It is applicable to shock and vibration systems operating from less than 1 Hz to approximately 20 kHz. This standard is applicable to elastomeric materials used in vibration insulators to reduce:a) machinery, structures or vehicles (fluid noise); , structural noise, airborne noise, etc.) b) If the vibration is too severe, the propagation of low-frequency vibrations that can cause damage to human bodies, structures or sensitive equipment. The measurement methods outlined in this standard and KS B ISO 18437- The data obtained in the manner described in detail in Section 3 are used for the following purposes:  ——Design of efficient vibration isolators - Selection of materials with optimal conditions for a given design - Theoretical calculations of vibration transmission through insulators - Product development Information during the process - product information provided between manufacturers and suppliers - A prerequisite for the validity of quality control measures is the linearity of the vibration response of the insulator. This includes even elastic elements with non-linear static load deflection characteristics, as long as the insulating element shows approximately linearity in its oscillatory behavior under a given static preload.
