- Scope
- This International Standard specifies the requirements for the qualification of operators and setters for mechanical and automatic welding. This International Standard does not apply to persons who exclusively load or unload the welding equipment during automatic welding. This International Standard is applicable when testing of the operator and installer is required by the contract or by the application standard. The requirements for testing operators and installers of stud welding equipment are set out in ISO 14555. The qualification and revalidation corresponds to this International Standard. Appendix A covers functional knowledge and is an integral part of this International Standard. Appendix B deals with the specialist knowledge test and Appendix C contains a test certificate. Both appendices, like the literature references, are informative.
