Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, codes and markings, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs and nameplates, packaging, transportation and storage of parallel active power filter devices for building electrical applications. This standard applies to parallel active power filtering devices (hereinafter referred to as devices) in civil and general industrial building power distribution systems with a frequency of 50 Hz and a rated operating voltage not exceeding 1000 (or 1140) V.
