- This standard specifies the conformance test method for the fourth version of the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP4), including BGP connection establishment function test, message format consistency test, UPDATE message format consistency test, BGP4 message processing function test, routing processing function test, BGP4 error handling function test, route reflection function test, COMMUNITY attribute processing function test and BGP-GR test. This standard applies to network equipment that supports the BGP4 routing protocol.
