- This standard specifies the specifications and parameters, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules of winding interturn insulation impulse voltage testers. This standard is applicable to winding inter-turn insulation impulse voltage testers with nominal output peak voltages of 5 kV, 15 kV, and 42 kV for testing the inter-turn dielectric strength of various forms of windings and coils (hereinafter referred to as winding inter-turn testers) ).
