Scope

This standard specifies the basic principles and requirements for environmentally conscious design of wires and cables (including optical cables, etc.). This standard is intended to provide guidance on environmentally conscious design for all stages of the life cycle of wire and cable. This standard applies to all types of wire and cable products.
