Scope: This standard specifies the method for determining the particle size distribution of natural manganese ores or processed products (such as pellets, sinters and artificial lumps) by sieving. "Manganese ore" or "ore" in this standard refers to the above-mentioned kinds of substances. The method in this standard also applies one or more sieves to determine particle size. The purpose of this standard is to provide a basis for any test of manganese ore, including particle size determination, and to be used by contracting parties when buying or selling manganese ore. When this standard is used for comparative tests, in order to avoid disputes, the parties concerned should reach an agreement on the specific method used.
