Scope

This part of GB/T 13748 specifies the determination method of aluminum content in magnesium and magnesium alloys. Method 1 of this part is applicable to the determination of aluminum content in magnesium alloys (containing zirconium, beryllium, thorium or rare earth). Measuring range: 0.020%~0.300%. Method 2 of this part is applicable to the determination of aluminum content in magnesium and magnesium alloys (excluding titanium, zirconium, beryllium, and rare earth). Measuring range: 0.0030%~0.300%. Method 3 of this part is applicable to the determination of aluminum content in magnesium alloys (without zirconium, thorium or rare earth). Measuring range: 1.50%~12.00%.
