Scope

This standard specifies four test methods for identifying hemp fibers: rotation direction method, burning method, microscope method, and color development method. This standard is applicable to the qualitative identification of ramie fiber, flax fiber, hemp fiber, jute fiber, sisal fiber and abaca fiber.
