- This standard specifies the reference method for the detection of the Minimal Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of anti-filamentous fungal drugs using the broth microdilution method and the macrobroth dilution method. This standard is applicable to drug susceptibility testing of sporogenic filamentous fungi that cause deep fungal infections, including Aspergillus species, Fusarium species, Rhizopus arrhizus, Pseudallescheria boydii, and Scedosporium apiospermum, Sporothrix schenckii and other filamentous fungi that cause infections, as well as Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton.spp which cause fungal skin infections.
