NB/SH/T 0862-2013 Standard test method for determination of yield stress and apparent viscosity of used engine oils at low temperature (English Version)
This standard specifies a method for determining the yield stress and apparent vis osity of used engine oil when it is cooled down at a specified cooling rate for 43 hours or 45 hours and reaches the final test temperature of -20°C or -25°C respectively. The apparent vis osity is measured when the shear stress is 525Pa and the shear rate is 0.4s ~ 15s. The applicable vis osity measurement range of this standard is 4000mPa · s ~ 400000mPa · s, and the shear stress measurement range is 7Pa ~ >350Pa. This standard applies to used diesel engine oil. The applicability and precis on to other unused or used engine oils or petroleum products other than engine oil have not yet been determined. This standard uses milliPa·s (mPa·s) to express the vis osity unit. This standard may involve certain hazardous materials, operations or equipment, but it does not make recommendations on all safety is ues related to this Users are responsible for establis ing appropriate safety and protective measures and determining relevant rules and regulations before using this standard. applicability.
