Scope: This standard specifies the procedures and conditions for type testing of sensitive components for measuring the position of control rods in nuclear power plant reactors (including newly developed or improved sensitive components for measuring the position of control rods in nuclear power plant reactors, hereinafter referred to as sensitive components for rod position detectors in nuclear power plants). and acceptance criteria. This standard applies to sensitive components of mutual inductance rod position detectors in nuclear power plants, including necessary electrical supporting components or devices. This standard does not apply to components or devices that process the output signal of the sensitive element of the rod position detector of a nuclear power plant, nor does it apply to the mechanical parts of the rod position detector of a nuclear power plant.
