- This standard specifies the aging management methods, aging management process, technical requirements, aging mitigation and on-site implementation of nuclear power plant instrumentation and control equipment (hereinafter referred to as instrumentation and control equipment). This standard is applicable to the aging management of instrumentation and control equipment and spare parts for on-site operation of nuclear power plants. It can be used to identify and classify the aging of instrumentation and control equipment, monitor and diagnose the aging and degradation of instrumentation and control equipment, formulate aging mitigation plans, guide on-site implementation, and conduct inspections on instrumentation and control equipment. Aging degradation and life assessment improve the operational reliability of nuclear power plant instrumentation and control equipment.
