EN ISO 10121-2:2013 Test methods for assessing the performance of gas-phase air cleaning media and devices for general ventilation - Part 2: Gasphase air cleaning devices (GPACD)
This part of the standard provides an appropriate test method for evaluating the operational characteristics of large-scale gas phase purification devices (GPACD) for general filtration, regardless of the media used in the device or the processes used. Rather, this part of ISO 10121 is intended to avoid relating the test data entirely to internal parameters. The benefit of this approach is that GPACD users are enabled to focus on price/performance ratios and suppliers (providers) gain access to a normative and objective testing standard that does not require the release of copyrighted information or reconstructions of the product is required. In order to ensure objectivity for suppliers of testing equipment, no specific design design of the testing equipment is specified. Instead, requirements for device properties and validation testing are specified. Various design examples of devices currently in use are described. This part of ISO 10121 can also be applied to process engineering, e.g. B., if they fit into the test facility, for gas scrubbers, absorbers, non-absorbent components or full-body columns that can be meaningfully assessed using the test procedure and are intended for the general ventilation of residential and non-residential buildings (commercial and administrative buildings). Nuclear and military applications are expressly excluded.
