Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for personnel and equipment, X-ray inspection methods and quality classification methods during X-ray inspection of aluminum alloy hull butt joints (hereinafter referred to as welds). This standard is applicable to aluminum alloy hull butt welds with base metal thickness not greater than 50 mm. Other aluminum alloy structural welds can also be used with reference.
