- This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation and storage of marine cross-shaped bitts (hereinafter referred to as bitts). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of bitts used for ship mooring and cargo oil pipe fixing.
