Scope

This standard specifies the rating scale and criteria for torsional vibration of marine diesel engine shafting. This standard applies to marine main diesel engine propulsion systems with a rated power of not less than 110 kW, marine power generation diesel engine systems, auxiliary diesel engines for important purposes, and constant-speed propulsion diesel engine systems.
