- This standard specifies the method for the determination of polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs, see Figure 1 for structural formula) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs, for short, see Figure 2 for structural formula) in rubber products by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. This standard applies to the determination of polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in rubber products, and also applies to the determination of polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in rubber tires.
