Scope

This International Standard specifies a method for comparing the dimensional changes during pressing and sintering of metal powders with those of a reference powder when treated under similar conditions (see Section 4). The method is applicable to the determination of 3 types of dimensional changes in the processing of metal powders, excluding cemented carbide powders.
