EN ISO 10819:2013 Mechanical vibration and shock - Hand-arm vibration - Measurement and evaluation of the vibration transmissibility of gloves at the palm of the hand
This International Standard specifies a laboratory method for measuring, data analysis and reporting the vibration transmission of gloves with vibration reducing material covering the palm, fingers and thumb of the hand. This International Standard specifies the vibration transmission of gloves in the form of vibration transmission from the handle to the palm at the third-octave band center frequencies from 25 Hz to 1250 Hz. The measurement method specified in this International Standard can also be used to measure the vibration transmission of material being tested as a coating on machine handles or for possible use in gloves. However, the results of such testing cannot be used to confirm that a material for use as a handle cover meets the requirements of this International Standard to be classified as an anti-vibration cover. Material tested in this way could later be placed in a glove. If this is the case, the glove shall be tested according to the measurement method of this International Standard and shall meet the vibration reduction requirements of this International Standard in order to be classified as anti-vibration gloves. NOTE ISO 13753 specifies a method for screening materials used to reduce vibration on machine handles and gloves.
