Scope

This standard specifies the potassium chloride extraction-titration method for the determination of exchangeable acidity in soil. This standard is applicable to the determination of exchangeable acidity in acidic soils. When 5.00 g of sample is extracted and adjusted to 250 ml, the detection limit of the method is 0.10 mmol/kg, and the lower limit of determination of the method is 0.40 mmol/kg.
