This standard specifies the terms and definitions of GB9089. This standard (including other parts of GB9089) is applicable to the operation and installation of electrical equipment and systems in outdoor locations (including open-pit mines, quarries, stockyards and similar locations) under severe conditions, especially for the following electrical equipment and systems : a. Mining, stacking and primary processing machinery; b. Secondary processing machinery; c. Conveyor system; d. Drainage and water supply system; . Electric trucks; h. Power generation and distribution equipment; i. Control, monitoring, signal, communication systems; j. Auxiliary equipment. Note: The working conditions of electrical facilities in outdoor places under harsh conditions are relatively special. They work in open places and undertake heavy-duty transportation and stacking tasks. The electrical facilities used in this situation have the following characteristics: a. The location of equipment and systems must be changed frequently; b. The working site is large and continuously extended; c. The impact of special environments.
