The standard specifies requirements for ris assessment, design, dimensioning and construction of escape-proof, land-based aquaculture facilities for all fis species and sizes. The standard also specifies requirements for the operation, inspection, maintenance and changes of land-based aquaculture facilities and their components. The standard has been developed with the design and construction of new facilities in mind and is also relevant for new departments in exis ing facilities and for new equipment. An important principle in the standard is that escape safety must be ensured throughout the aquaculture facility in all stages and for all components up to and including loading of fis . The standard includes requirements for:

——product data sheet. Closure and dis osal of land-based aquaculture facilities is not covered by this standard.
