- This standard analyzes the energy consumption structure of Internet data centers (hereinafter referred to as data centers), defines the energy efficiency indicators of data centers, and proposes data center energy consumption measurement methods and energy efficiency data release requirements. This standard mainly specifies the direct consumption of electricity by data centers, excluding the consumption of other energy or resources such as oil and water. This standard is applicable to the measurement of data center energy consumption and calculation of energy efficiency. It is used to understand the energy efficiency status of data centers, compare the energy efficiency between different data centers, and serve as the basis for rating data center energy conservation levels.
